I met Erwin Kosal Kristel at my step brothers bachelor party. This is where he initially showed me the site he had just created for his small business using a WordPress template. I told him I designed websites and planned on doing it for a living after college.
Sometime later, after my stepbrothers wedding, he reached out to me and asked me for a quote on his website. I quoted him and we agreed to do business together. I decided to use a small professional law firm template designed for a law firm of 3+ plus individuals. I refactored the content to represent him. The reason I chose to base my work off of a professional template is because I wanted to guarantee a cohesive theme across all pages. Although I am talented at animation, and scaling content, I struggle to create an initial theme sometimes. The template provide a scheme of gold and dark blue, of which I used throughout the site in creation of all subpages.
The biggest struggle with this site hosting the site on WordPress, as my client had already payed for 1 year of hosting. I had to ensure I uploaded the files correctly to Bluehost, his hosting services of choice, while deleting the old WordPress files. I ended up crashing the site a couple times, but thankfully I had accounted for this possibility and made the transition over a weekend. Overall, this is a contender for one my favorite sites I have ever created.
